Hire Me: How to Trounce the Competition

As you coast along an open expressway, what usually catches your attention?  Probably the million dollar lotto billboard, newly built condos or even an entertaining personalized license plate.  Now, consider what gets your attention as you stand still in gridlock traffic on a swelteringly hot summer's day. You're likely thinking two things: 1) Find open road space so I can get out of here and 2) Hand me an ice cold beer (or water for the underaged).

The job market, in its current state, is just like being in gridlock traffic. Too many people are competing for too few open spots. It's frustrating, to say the least, for the un(der)employed but it doesn't necessarily have to be that way. When the market gets tough, get streamlined. Your skills must precisely adhere to what employers desire. Use the job description as your mantra. It offers the best insight as to what your future employer may be seeking as far as personality fit and core competencies.

Repeating, though not verbatim, the employers' wants from their job description in a resume, cover letter or during the interview is a surefire way to convey a match between what you have to offer and what skills are being sought. So few candidates apply this job hunt tactic and it's a super easy way to stand out in a crowd!

  1. When filling up a LinkedIn profile, just like in your resume, lay emphasis on what you have done write my research paper rather than what your job responsibilities are.

  2. What’s more, prospective candidates were skill tested and personality profiled to ensure they had the best possible chance of success. Not only did this give us a great experience, the candidates felt so much more than a number. They mattered and, ode to tomatoes by pablo neruda analysis isn’t that what we all want, to matter?
